Peter Beasley, Chairman of the Board

 

Peter Beasley serves in multiple roles, including Chairman of the Board, Executive Director and President of the North Texas Chapter. Peter has had the primary role to coalesce the corporation into a dues-paying professional organization, to stand-up chartered chapters, and implementing management of the nonprofit by a board of directors. Peter is the corporation’s incorporator and is one of three Co-Founders.

Peter is a technologist, having led corporate technology infrastructure teams for over 30 years in oil & gas, healthcare, government, and in financial services industries.

In 2003, Peter founded and led Dallas-based Netwatch Solutions and brought a patented, innovative CMDB software product to market.

Peter has an MBA in Technology Management, a BS in Electrical Engineering from UT Austin, and has a 15-year career serving on and leading non-profit boards and organizations.

Peter also serves as Treasurer of itSMF USA, the premier service management organization.

John C. Malonson III, Secretary
 

John is a cybersecurity and technology professional with over 20 years of experience leading teams at one of our nation’s top defense contractors.

As a technology leader in Southern California, John serves his community by leading Blacks in Technology LA, serving as an advisor/instructor for STEAMCoders.org, and board chairman for the Creating IT Futures organization.

He is an avid gamer, ethical hacker, and life-long learner.

John is one the three corporation’s Co-Founders.

Brenda Bjerke, Treasurer

Brenda Bjerke is a Senior Director of Cybersecurity at Target where she leads the Cyber Risk team. In her role, she is responsible for the Cybersecurity Management Office, Information Security Policy, Training & Awareness, Vendor Security, Business Information Security Office (BISO), Payments & Compliance (PCI, GLBA, SOX & HIPAA) teams for the enterprise. She joined Target in 2003. After Target’s data security incident in 2013, Brenda played an important role in transforming Target’s security culture. 
 
Brenda serves on the Executive Leadership Team for Target tech’s Diversity Action Committee which works to ensure a culture of open dialogue, diversity, inclusion, and respect. Alongside that effort, she serves as the Executive Women’s Forum (EWF) champion to advance women in security initiatives at Target and mentors several women throughout the tech industry. Recently, Brenda has taken on a leadership role as an Ambassador to Cyversity to support the growth of a diverse workforce within Cybersecurity. She is also serves on the Board of Advisors for the EWF.

Dr. Melvin Randle, Director

 
 
Melvin Randle, Ph.D., is an operations and technology leader with substantial experience in managing the governance within organizations (operations and technology), including but not limited to: creating and managing portfolio, program and project management organizations; strategy; business analysis, quality assurance, technical writing, change management, technology audit compliance, customer support, operations, etc.

Mr. Randle has the ability to grasp new situations quickly. Possess the ability to communicate divisional direction to C-Level peers.

Dekera Greene Rodriguez, Esq., Director

 

 

Attorney, Dekera Greene Rodriguez, is a project manager with a decade of experience in delivering results in regulatory governance, risk, and compliance.

Mrs. Rodriguez uses her legal, analytical, organizational, writing, communication, management, and negotiation skills to develop internal and client relationships.

She works collaboratively with stakeholders and teams to create efficient outcomes for clients, and has experience working across multiple business areas.
